Team Introduction
To refine the national science and technology policy support system and improve the implementation and performance of Taiwan's science and technology projects, the Executive Yuan resolved in the 11th and 12th Board of Science and Technology to promote a solution for the management of large-scale science and technology projects. Thus, the Board of Science and Technology commissioned the establishment of the Office of the S&T Policy Expert Consultation Board. With experts from various fields participating in the review, management, and evaluation of major science and technology projects, the Office is responsible for ensuring the appropriateness of science and technology budget investment and strategy, reviewing the content of science and technology projects year-round, and exploration and follow-up on the mechanisms or general issues in those projects. In addition, through research and analysis, the Office makes specific recommendations for solving major science and technology policy issues of current concern to society, serving as a think tank at the institutional level.
The Team's primary missions are to support the operations of the Office, assist expert groups with continuous participation in the management and assessment of science and technology projects, conduct checkpoint-style management of major projects, and provide advisory support to improve science and technology project management.
