The Team's core research goals include depicting the current scientific research development in Taiwan, providing data as a basis for analysis, and preparing for the challenges of emerging technologies.
In order to support the government in S&T policy planning and promotion, the Team is also responsible for consolidating data from different sources and strengthening the concatenation among them. In particular, the Team establishes and maintains databases of talents, patents, and academic papers pertaining to research capacity. These databases can be used as evidence when analyzing, planning, researching, and commenting on S&T policies. At the same time, the Team conducts analyses and develops applications by utilizing the data in all-rounded facets, contributing to evaluation mechanisms and applications that can boost the capacity of S&T policies.
