The Sustainability Team has long been devoted to sustainable development, low-carbon, and green energy issues. Notably, the Team studies and analyzes domestic and international policies and technological trends while consolidating forward-looking research, methods for evaluating S&T innovation, and the capacity of STPI's information platform to formulate S&T development strategies that are localized to our needs and resources.
In response to the global challenge of climate change and Taiwan's Pathway to Net-Zero Emissions in 2050 initiative, the Team is formulating an analysis framework for issues concerning sustainable development, net zero, and energy in correspondence with the United Nation's sustainable development goals (SDGs). Specifically, it seeks to supply evidence-based key information built upon quantitative and qualitative data and interdisciplinary expert opinions to push Taiwan towards sustainable development and net-zero transformation.
